Tomislav Jakupić – Head Coach & Founder

Coach Tomislav Jakupić

Tomislav was born in 1982 and began his involvement in sport in early adulthood. His initial sporting background includes lifting (power-focused), cycling, and running. Early in his athletic development, he developed a strong interest in martial arts, with a particular focus on grappling disciplines.

During this period, he trained in Brazilian and Japanese jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling, boxing, and Muay Thai. As a member of the Muay Thai Club Samurai, he competed in several national grappling championships. After nearly 15 years in combat sports, he transitioned back to running and road cycling, which he continues to practice recreationally today.

As a masters amateur athlete and member of the Croatian national team, Tomislav competes in sprint and middle-distance track events, with the 400 meters as his primary discipline.

He has a strong passion for training and all aspects related to athletic performance, including physiology, physical preparation, long-term training planning, and nutrition. The majority of his free time is dedicated to running and cycling training, as well as studying current research and scientific literature related to endurance, power-speed training and sports nutrition.

To formalize his knowledge and practical experience, Tomislav completed multiple professional education programs and earned certifications as a triathlon coach, ultrarunning coach, and endurance sports nutrition coach.

He holds a degree from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics and possesses several professional certifications in the field of endurance sports coaching.
